Overview

SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking a LAN Team Lead in Fort Huachuca, AZ. The LAN Team Lead reports to the Network Support Branch Manager and is responsible for delivering fast, reliable, and redundant internal wired / wireless networks ensuring Government customers have access to RCC-C managed services to include common-use items. The LAN Team Lead supervises the LAN Team and is responsible for overall technical and personnel management of the LAN mission.

Responsibilities

  • Supervisory responsibilities to include but not limited to:
    • Reporting and timekeeping; technical/administrative training; assuring ITIL process compliance; actively communicating with the government to include utilizing MS Teams; scheduling to effectively utilize all team resources; support management decision-making; committing to quality management standards, QA/QC compliance, and metrics analysis.
    • Coordinates team schedules ensuring mission coverage.
    • Trains, mentors, coaches, and enforces the SOSi code of conduct.
    • Assures ATCTS reporting compliance and employees training and certifications are current. 
    • Recommends innovative solutions to more effectively and efficiently support work performance.
    • Provides performance feedback and appraisals for all direct reports.
    • Nominates employees for recognition and awards program.
    • Supports leadership development and succession planning program.
  • Perform data configuration and installation of switches, TACLANE encryption devices, and environmental sensors/servers.
  • Support the physical installation, removal, replacement, and physical management of RCC-C hardware.
  • Monitor and conduct performance evaluation of networks.
  • Support, install, maintain, and troubleshoot all local area networking devices and related software for branch offices and internal and external networks.
  • Provide integrated team support and maintenance of LAN hardware and software.
  • Maintain integrity of the LAN hardware and software.
  • Install LAN software upgrades, including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination.
  • Study vendor products to determine those which best meet organization needs; assist in presentation of information to management for purchase consideration and installation of hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment if procured.
  • Evaluate new products and technologies to determine impact on existing system configurations.
  • Document, maintain, and update physical / logical diagrams that depict current operational structures of the LAN managed devices, active network interfaces, IP addresses, and subnet masks.
  • Lead all actions associated with installation, maintain, repair, move, and/or replace network infrastructure cabling, vertical and horizontal management systems, drop boxes, equipment racks, and cable trays.
  • Prepare proposals, cost/benefit analyses, and feasibility studies.
  • Provide liaison support between the LAN team, vendors and internal support group as needed.
  • Provide on-call support after business hours and during weekends when required.
  • Maintain SOPs, TTPs, and SmartBooks associated with current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Follow ITIL best practices to manage tickets and processes.
  • Participate in special projects as required. 
  • May collaborate with GTMs, Branch Chiefs, Division Chiefs and RCC-C Leadership.

Qualifications

  • Active in scope Top Secret (TS) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance or the abililty to obtain an Interim Top Secret with SCI eligibility
  • HS +12 yrs similar technical experience or AA/AS +10 or BS/BA +8
  • An IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) is required.
  • CSSP-IS Certification
  • Must be willing to work overtime, after hours, holidays, and weekends, as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • FedVTE
  • PMP Certification
  • 3-5 years or more of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of Network Monitoring tools including Spectrum, NetScout, ACS, BNA and eHealth.
  • Knowledge of Bluecoat Proxy applications.
  • Knowledge of Network technologies and topologies.
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.
