Overview

SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking a Senior Network Administrator (LAN) in Fort Huachuca, AZ. The Senior Network Administrator reports to the LAN Team lead and is responsible for delivering fast, reliable, and redundant internal wired / wireless networks ensuring Government customers have access to RCC-C managed services to include common-use items.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data configuration and installation of switches, TACLANE encryption devices, environmental sensors/servers.
  • Support physical installation, removal, replacement, and physical management of RCC-C hardware.
  • Monitor and conduct performance evaluation of networks.
  • Support, install, maintain, and troubleshoot all local area networking devices and related software for branch offices and internal and external networks.
  • Provide integrated team support and maintenance of LAN hardware and software.
  • Maintain integrity of the LAN hardware and software.
  • Install LAN software upgrades, including planning and scheduling, testing and coordination.
  • Support patching and system hardening through STIG application.
  • Develops, updates, and provides evidence for POAM maintenance and resolutions for all team controlled assets identified with an open security vulnerability requiring mitigation.
  • Study vendor products to determine those which best meet organization needs; assist in presentation of information to management for purchase consideration and installation of hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment if procured.
  • Evaluate new products and technologies to determine impact on existing system configurations.
  • Document, maintain, and update physical / logical diagrams that depict current operational structures of the LAN managed devices, active network interfaces, IP addresses, and subnet masks.
  • Support installation, maintain, repair, move, and/or replace network infrastructure cabling, vertical and horizontal management systems, drop boxes, equipment racks, and cable trays.
  • Provide liaison support between the LAN team, vendors and internal support group as needed.
  • Provide on-call support after business hours and during weekends when required.
  • Maintain SOPs, TTPs, and SmartBooks associated with current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Follow ITIL best practices to manage tickets and processes.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • May collaborate with GTMs, Branch Chiefs, Division Chiefs and RCC-C Leadership.

Qualifications

  • Active in scope Top Secret (TS) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance or the abililty to obtain an Interim Top Secret with SCI eligibility
  • HS +12 yrs similar technical experience or AA/AS +10, or BS/BA +8.
  • An IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) is required.
  • CSSP-IS Certification
  • Knowledge of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of Cisco Internetworking Devices.
  • Knowledge of installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of Juniper Internetworking Devices.
  • Knowledge of Standard Routing Protocols, i.e. EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, etc.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP ports, protocols, and subnetting.
  • Network fundamentals.
  • Network services such as: DNS, DHCP, NTP, and LDAP.
  • Cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • IT Industry terminology.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving techniques.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • FedVTE
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.

  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable).
