Overview

SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking an Active Directory Team Lead in Fort Huachuca, AZ. The Active Directory Team Lead reports to the Operating Systems Branch Manager and is responsible for all phases of Active Directory technical requirements and daily operations. The Active Directory Team Lead is responsible for overall technical and personnel management of the Active Directory mission and develops and maintains 24/7 schedules, on call roster, and recall procedures. The Active Directory Team Lead is responsible for overall Active Directory technical performance and personnel management. 

Responsibilities

  • Supervisory responsibilities to include but not limited to:
    • Reporting and timekeeping; technical/administrative training; assuring ITIL process compliance; actively communicating with the government to include utilizing MS Teams; scheduling to effectively utilize all team resources; support management decision-making; committing to quality management standards, QA/QC compliance, and metrics analysis.
    • Coordinates team schedules ensuring mission coverage.
    • Trains, mentors, coaches, and enforces the SOSi code of conduct.
    • Assures ATCTS reporting compliance and employees training and certifications are current. 
    • Recommends innovative solutions to more effectively and efficiently support work performance.
    • Provides performance feedback and appraisals for all direct reports.
    • Nominates employees for recognition and awards program.
    • Supports leadership development and succession planning program.
  • Develop solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and creativity.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify, diagnose, and resolve Active Directory problems..
  • Orchestrate maintenance to support Active Directory activities to all system users.
  • Configure, test, and maintain Active Directory equipment and related services.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented Active Directory activities.
  • Resolve interoperability problems to facilitate operations across all platforms including email, file transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing, authentication, etc.
  • Configure systems to user requirements.
  • Support hardware and software acquisition as well as operations and maintenance.
  • Support the implementation plans of new configurations for insertion and integration.
  • Administer Active Directory security and/or maintain Active Directory security appliances.
  • Work with vendors to evaluate new products and resolve equipment design problems.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot authentication and directory services in accordance with system owner policy and guidance.
  • Support both global Active Directory Restructure (AD-R) and the RCC-C AOR with the management, sustainment and deployment of authentication, directory and policy services.
  • Support an Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) - zero trust environment.
  • Perform enterprise and domain level management; authentication services deployment, maintenance, monitoring and reporting; troubleshooting, testing and recommendations to solve persistent service issues; performance monitoring and trend analysis to continually improve service capability; and establish and manage required subordinate services to ensure optimal performance (e.g., Certificate Authorities).
  • Perform as Tier III support for issues varying from any of the following:
    • AD object restorations / deletions / moves, to include users and/or computers Group policy creation/permissioning/deletions;
    • DHCP authorizations;
    • Top-level Organizational Unit administrative rights permissioning and TLOU group management;
    • Troubleshoot connectivity/authentication issues for NECs;
    • Support for any number of issues encountered by NECs;
    • CCRI inspections for all NECs that house AD/DNS servers; 
    • Event log backups and archival to Gabriel Nimbus per ARCYBER requirements;
    • Weekly, monthly, and quarterly taskings from 7th and ARCYBER.
  • Provide guidance, training, and work leadership to Active Directory engineers and other technical staff.
  • Follow ITIL best practices to manage tickets and processes.
  • Develop and/or maintain SOPs, TTPs, and SmartBooks associated with current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • Collaborate with GTMs, Branch Chiefs, Division Chiefs and RCC-C Leadership.

Qualifications

  • Active in scope SECRET w/T5 clearance or the ability to obtain Interim SECRET w/T5 eligibility
  • HS +12, or AA/AS + 10 years, or BA/BS +8 years IT experience/education
  • An IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) is required
  • Be a positive, self-motivated, and proactive person with the ability to adapt to change and tolerate stressful situations
  • Candidate must communicate effectively with team members, team lead, management, and government customer
  • Must have the ability and desire to research and develop creative solutions to unique problems with minimal supervision
  • Strong working knowledge of the following:
    • Windows Active Directory services
    • Domain Name Service
    • Group Policy
    • Windows Server operating systems
    • Client/server hardware and software configuration
    • Networking concepts
    • Physical (Dell, HP, IBM) and virtual (VMware/Hyper-V) servers
    • Creating and/or modifying scripts (batch, vbs, PowerShell)
    • McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS)
    • Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
    • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • DISA STIGs and IAVAs

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • PMP Certification
  • 3-5 years or more of supervisory experience
  • Microsoft server specific certification (ex. MCP 70-410 or AZ-900 or 98-365)or higher 
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required
