SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking a Data Services Team Lead in Fort Huachuca, AZ. The Data Services Team Lead reports directly to Enterprise Applications Branch Manager and is responsible for activities related to virtual infrastructure, storage area network administration, and backup / restoration administration. Supports approximately the following assets: VMware Virtual Machines, VMware application management servers, Backup Appliances, Hypervisor, Server Blade Chassis, Disk Arrays, and Storage Switches. The Data Services Team Lead is responsible for overall technical and personnel management of RCC-C Data Services. The Data Services Team Lead supervises a team who maintains ownership of all Cloud-based computing and Virtualization Infrastructure, and acts as the coordination point for government task mangers, external organizations, and other RCC-C internal technical areas.


  • Supervisory responsibilities to include but not limited to:
    • Reporting and timekeeping; technical/administrative training; assuring ITIL process compliance; actively communicating with the government to include utilizing MS Teams; scheduling to effectively utilize all team resources; support management decision-making; committing to quality management standards, QA/QC compliance, and metrics analysis.
    • Coordinates team schedules ensuring mission coverage.
    • Trains, mentors, coaches, and enforces the SOSi code of conduct.
    • Assures ATCTS reporting compliance and employees training and certifications are current. 
    • Recommends innovative solutions to more effectively and efficiently support work performance.
    • Provides performance feedback and appraisals for all direct reports.
    • Nominates employees for recognition and awards program.
    • Coordinates the cross-utilization of FFP resources to accommodate dynamic service delivery schedules and/or workloads.
    • Supports leadership development and succession planning program.
  • Implement, deploy, operate, and maintain the virtual infrastructure of the RCC-C and data services enclaves at remote installations.
  • Perform fault management, trouble analysis, support incident handling, and reporting for all VI systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain both physical and virtual storage for the RCC-C and enterprise services.
  • Monitor the capacity of storage and virtual environments to ensure adequate resources are available to meet mission requirements.
  • Provide restoration and disaster recovery support for all critical systems and services.
  • Resolve Incidents/Tickets in accordance with documented procedures.
  • Perform Quality Assurance follow-up with customers/end users.
  • Comply with documented processes and procedures.
  • Utilize monitoring tools such as VMWare vRealize Operations Manager and Microsoft SCOM.
  • In conjunction with internal and external customers, perform Continual Service Improvement actions to refine and improve reporting capabilities in VMWare vRealize Operations Manager.
  • Provide technical input and guidance to internal and external customers in the areas of system design, deployment and configuration for new and existing systems.
  • Provide technical input and guidance to internal and external customers to assist with the development and documentation of Theater and Enterprise level policy relating to deployment and management of virtual environments.
  • Hosts virtualized Operating Systems and Appliances for RCC-C Technical teams and customers.
  • Acts as the primary escalation point for Data Services team members.
  • Coordinates with other RCC-C technical teams on all virtual infrastructure, SAN, and backup administration.
  • Ensure long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization.
  • Conducts root cause analysis to identify, diagnose, and resolve cyber security problems.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for all implemented cyber security activities.
  • Works with vendors to evaluate new products and resolve equipment design problems.
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced cyber security analysts and other technical staff.
  • Follow ITIL best practices to manage tickets and processes.
  • Develop and/or maintain SOPs, TTPs, and SmartBooks associated with current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participate in special projects as required. 


  • Active in scope SECRET w/T5 clearance or the ability to obtain Interim SECRET w/T5 eligibility
  • HS +12, or AA/AS + 10 years, or BA/BS +8 years IT experience/education
  • An IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) is required
  • Be a positive, self-motivated, and proactive person with the ability to adapt to change and tolerate stressful situations
  • Candidate must communicate effectively with team members, team lead, management, and government customer
  • Must have the ability and desire to research and develop creative solutions to unique problems with minimal supervision
  • Strong working knowledge of the following:
    • Windows Active Directory services
    • Domain Name Service
    • Group Policy
    • Windows Server operating systems
    • Client/server hardware and software configuration
    • Networking concepts
    • Physical (Dell, HP, IBM) and virtual (VMware/Hyper-V) servers
    • Creating and/or modifying scripts (batch, vbs, PowerShell)
    • McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS)
    • Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
    • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • DISA STIGs and IAVAs

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • PMP Certification
  • 3-5 years or more of supervisory experience
  • Microsoft server specific certification (ex. MCP 70-410 or AZ-900 or 98-365)or higher 
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required
