SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking a DNS Team Lead in Fort Huachuca, AZ. The DNS Team Lead reports to the Network Support Branch Manager, and is responsible for activities related to the systems administration of EP-DNS throughout RCC-C AOR. The DNS Team lead is responsible for supervising a team of system administrators.


  • Supervisory responsibilities to include but not limited to:
    • Reporting and timekeeping; technical/administrative training; assuring ITIL process compliance; actively communicating with the government to include utilizing MS Teams; scheduling to effectively utilize all team resources; support management decision-making; committing to quality management standards, QA/QC compliance, and metrics analysis.
    • Coordinates team schedules ensuring mission coverage.
    • Trains, mentors, coaches, and enforces the SOSi code of conduct.
    • Assures ATCTS reporting compliance and employees training and certifications are current. 
    • Recommends innovative solutions to more effectively and efficiently support work performance.
    • Provides performance feedback and appraisals for all direct reports.
    • Nominates employees for recognition and awards program.
    • Supports leadership development and succession planning program.
  • Assign personnel to various projects, direct their activities, and evaluate their work.
  • Ensure long-term system operation and administration requirements are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization.
  • Maintain responsibility for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software.
  • Implement operating system enhancements that improve the reliability and performance of the system.
  • Lead the DNS Team to operate, manage, monitor, secure, and sustain IAW the systems owner’s Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed (RACI) matrix.
  • Coordinate delegations, file transfer, and operational issues troubleshooting amongst a multi-discipline team; assign and retrieve network IP space and autonomous system numbers.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to sites, including posts, camps, and stations, and tactical domain managers utilizing Army EP-DNS services.
  • Operate and maintain EP-DNS by performing troubleshooting and corrections as directed via tickets, Operation Order (OPORD) or Task Order (TASKORD); perform account management; enforce network ACLs; maintain IP filter list; maintain databases and domain blocks; and modify data files, to include bad zones blocks.
  • Assign, manage, register, and reclaim all Army network (IPV4) and IPV6) space.
  • Register and update network assignments with the DoD Network Information Center (NIC) and the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN).
  • Register all Army Autonomous System Numbers (ASN), domains, hosts and users.
  • Interface with public sector Internet Service Providers (ISP) to answer questions regarding Army managed IP space.
  • Maintain and post the DISA WHO-IS database, which consists of updating Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC) keys on authentication website, as well as maintaining registration for DNS SEC zone registration.
  • Create, modify, and schedule blocked zone transfer attempts and other EP-DNS statistical reports.
  • Provide timely notification to the Government for any critical or high incidents.
  • Provide on-call support after business hours and during weekends when required.
  • Follow ITIL best practices to manage tickets and processes.
  • Develop and/or maintain SOPs, TTPs, and SmartBooks associated with current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • Collaborate with RCC-C contractors, GTMs, Branch Chiefs, Division Chiefs and RCC-C Leadership.


  • Active in scope SECRET w/T5 clearance or the ability to obtain Interim SECRET w/T5 eligibility
  • HS +12, or AA/AS + 10 years, or BA/BS +8 years IT experience/education
  • An IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) is required
  • Be a positive, self-motivated, and proactive person with the ability to adapt to change and tolerate stressful situations
  • Candidate must communicate effectively with team members, team lead, management, and government customer
  • Must have the ability and desire to research and develop creative solutions to unique problems

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • PMP Certification
  • 3-5 years or more of supervisory experience
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required
