*This position is contingent upon contract award**

SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Civil Engineering Manager to support a government customer in Curacao. The ideal candidate will be a degreed engineer with at least 5 years’ experience as a US Air Force or civilian Base Civil Engineer.

• Provide oversight of all contract base civil engineering efforts.
• Plan, design and direct construction, maintenance and modifications of facilities and utilities. Manage civil engineering support for sustainment and construction activities.
• Manage the mechanical and electrical activities to install, operate, maintain, and repair base direct support systems and equipment; electrical facilities; electrical power generation and distribution; and heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment, and their controls.
• Make a periodic, comprehensive assessment and evaluation of program goals/objectives which provide a basis for long-range planning to enhance the organization's support capabilities.
• Manage reviews of engineering drawings and plans for all projects.
• Coordinate with end users/customers to identify mission critical civil engineering aspects of facilities, utilities, and projects.
• Identify engineering requirements for major and minor construction projects and strategies for implementation.
• Maintain accountability for civil engineering aspects of facility design and construction implementation, and ensure compliance with engineering design standards, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures, keeping current and familiar with both US and International standards and requirements.
• Manage the safe, high quality conduct of base civil engineering activities that employ a multinational workforce OCONUS.
• Assist with the development of systems, processes, and tools to enhance program performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Active in Scope Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
• 5 years US Air Force or civilian Base Civil Engineering experience.
• Registered PE preferred.
• Ability to obtain/pass required medical/immunization requirements.
• Base Civil Engineering management experience on an Air Force BOS contract preferred.
• Prior experience managing OCONUS projects preferred.

• Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.

• Long hours, exposure to weather and contingency conditions.
