SOSi, a leader in delivering transformational technology, operations, and logistics solutions to federal defense, civilian, and intelligence agencies is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our HR consulting team in Reston, Virginia. The Human Resource Generalist will work closely with the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) in aligning the work of the HR department with the goals and objectives of our SOSi business units and functional departments.  This role will provide a great opportunity for the Human Resources Generalist to expand his or her HR competencies and knowledge, working strategically, and position him or herself for future advancement in a growing company.

• Works to support the Human Resources Business Partner with aligning HR initiatives to business and functional units’ goals and objectives.
• Assists in execution of talent life cycle activities which includes HR policy interpretation ensuring compliance, assisting with the performance management process, on-boarding, off-boarding, learning and talent development, workforce retention activities, compensation, benefits, reward & recognition, and, people analytics,
• Serves as a resource for managers and employees to ensure their understanding and compliance with HR policies and regulations
• Supports recurring HR processes such as annual enrollment, etc.
• Assist HR Business Partners with investigation and resolution of employee relations issues, may lead the resolution of some employee relations issues with HRBP oversight
• Supports HR administrative processes to include termination, employee changes, professional development requests, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

• At least three (3) years of related work experience, preferrable in government contracting
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience

• Proficiency in the HR body of knowledge
• Candidate is organizationally savvy using knowledge of the organizational culture to navigate and achieve outcomes
• Communicates with all stakeholders in a clear, concise manner using multi modes of communications
• Adapts quickly to changing conditions, progressing through uncertainties with calm and composure
• Considers all relevant factors and knowledge in decision making
• Anticipates, balances, and acts fairly despite conflicting demands of all stakeholders
• Demonstrated success in supporting organizations with between 1000-1500 employees
• Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities under time pressures
• Ability to draw upon multiple relationships to exchange ideas, resources, and knowledge to achieve outcomes
• Ability to leverage technology including HR systems and Microsoft Office to maximize efficiency

• Relevant certification from SHRM, HRCI or other related organization preferred, but not required

• Must be willing to travel in support of business operations
