Overview

SOSi is seeking an IT Deputy Program Manager to support our Integrated Network Operations Center (INOC) team on Rock Island Arsenal. The DPM will assist in maintaining 24/7 Network Operations capability. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Program Manager with the design and implementation of technical solutions for the Task Order requirements. This position requires traveling as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision, design and implement SATCOM solutions for the Task Order requirements. 
  • Provide in-depth engineering analysis of SATCOM alternatives for TASK order in support of strategic modernization efforts.
  • Coordinate all product line enhancements and partner component configurations and integration activities. 
  • Evaluate SATCOM components and integrate the same into proposed solutions. 
  • Perform SATCOM requirements analysis and maintain product roadmap and lead SATCOM equipment evaluation, integration, and procurement activities. 
  • Will supervise SATCOM engineers and manage engineering activities, under the guidance of the Program Manager, to include transmission planning, link budget analysis, network design, budgetary pricing, network enhancements, and technical briefings. 
  • Define project objectives, project scope, roles & responsibilities.
  • Define resource requirements and manage resource availability & allocation – both internal and third party.
  • Manage and adjust for any changes in project scope, schedule and / or budget.
  • Create long and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhere to deadlines.
  • Delegate tasks on the project to employee(s) best positioned to complete them.
  • Coordinate the development and administration of projects, policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Perform quality control on the project throughout the period of performance to maintain the standards expected.

Qualifications

 

  • A BS/BA degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or an AA and 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • An active in-scope DoD Secret Clearance.
  • An ability to communicate with company leadership and the government customer.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMI Certification preferred.
  • Possess the proven ability to balance conflicting priorities and somewhat exclusive requirements, proactively identifying major resource gaps and evaluating multiple corrective plans to present recommended actions for improvement.
  • Knowledge of/experience in developing Integrated Master Schedule.
  • Working knowledge of PM, systems engineering, network operations, SATCOM field services and Support Services helpdesk processes.
  • Professional level written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, MS Project.
  • Must be composed and effective under the pressure of heavy workloads, time sensitive demands, or changing conditions, while remaining tactful, diplomatic, considerate of views of others, and an effective leader.

Working Conditions

  • Position is a traditional office setting on-site.
  • Traditional work hours supporting a 24/7 Network Operations Center.
  • Up to 15% Travel may be required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
