Overview

SOSi is seeking a SharePoint Developer to support a dynamic program in Springfield, VA. The SharePoint Developer shall provide services in support of the development and administration of the SharePoint environment, including operational engineering, sustainment, availability, reliability, performance, monitoring, and security of the portal. This individual will also provide leadership to adjacent and junior team members on site.

Responsibilities


  • Provide direct support for optimizing the use of SharePoint and other collaborative tools within the organization.

  • Advise and develop implementation plans for the basic design of the portal and sites.

  • Design and implement the installation of SharePoint sites, to include the execution of IA auditing tools and remediation of the SharePoint of the SharePoint server farm, installing structured query language (SQL) Server database instances to support the overall SharePoint collaboration environment, and creating and maintaining backup and template solutions.

  • Assist in database migration, database change management, data management from legacy systems to provided cloud and PaaS (platform as a service) environments.  

  • Use SharePoint browser-based interface and SharePoint Designer to customize site pages, cascading style sheets and other formatting structures.

  • Design, develop and maintain custom SharePoint web parts and workflows within Visual Studio to support the overall collaboration mission.

  • Conduct planning and provide recommendations to client on task workload.

  • Attend customer meetings and may serve as primary client liaison.

  • Prioritize project tasks and track the status of internal and external resources applied against each task.

  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.

  • Ensure system administration functions shall include the following:

    • Operation, sustainment, monitoring and maintenance

    • Database structures

    • Excel services

    • Backup/Restore

    • Permissions and audiences

    • Webpart upgrades

    • Migration and migration tools

    • SQL Database Administration (DBA)

    • Visual Studio and SharePoint Designer.



  • Develop and maintain data visualization dashboards using Tableau and approved customer data

Qualifications


  • Active in-scope DOD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance

  • HS Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's, Master’s or Doctoral degree in a related field, or the equivalent years of experience.

  • Minimum experience in SharePoint Software Development:

    • Twelve (12) years’ experience with High School diploma,

    • Ten (10) years’ experience with Associate’s degree,

    • Eight (8) years’ experience with Bachelor’s degree,

    • Six (6) years’ experience with Master’s degree or

    • Four (4) years’ experience with Doctoral degree



  • Work closely with Active Directory teams or personnel to administer and maintain the SharePoint environment.

  • Perform operational assessments of the existing SharePoint Infrastructure and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • 3+ years of experience managing DoD SharePoint infrastructures in an enterprise environment.

  • Experience with Tableau, or similar BI tool suite

  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate technical as well as non-technical information, both orally and in writing.

  • Must place emphasis on teamwork and work well in a team-oriented environment.

  • Must have an understanding of Agile software development principles and of supporting those in cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current TS/SCI with CI Poly is preferred.
  • DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technician –Level III Equivalent to: 
    • CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) CE
    • CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security
    • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
    • CISSP (or Associate)
    • GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED)
    • GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
    • Windows and LINUX Certification
