Overview

SOSi is currently seeking an experienced IT Specialist to join our team in Ramstein AB, Germany. The Mission Partner Environment Engineering Service team at Ramstein AB, Germany is seeking an experienced Electromagnetic Visual Reporting System (EVRS) IT specialist. The candidate will be responsible for planning and implementation of EVRS objectives. The candidate will also work with customers, partners, stakeholders, and existing team members.

Responsibilities




  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on the use and management of the Electromagnetic Visual Reporting System (EVRS). 

  • Establish and update command policy for managing the EVRS system. Experience using spectrum analyzers/receivers and associated software.

  • Identify, report, and resolve electromagnetic interference (EMI).

  • Provide liaison between Main Operating Bases, higher headquarters and USAFE-AFAFRICOM spectrum management personnel.

  • Deliver customer support services to include: troubleshooting, customer assistance, and training in response to customer needs in support of spectrum monitoring equipment.

  • Support development and procurement of spectrum operations tools and policy.

  • Provide recommendations to the Government for EVRS training of USAFE Installation Spectrum Managers.

  • Identify, evaluate, and provide resolution guidance to potential spectrum use conflicts.

  • Provide support for Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.



Qualifications


  • Experience with the installation, configuration, testing, implementation, and management of the Debian, RHEL, and the Linux systems environment 

  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) process. 

  • Experience with configuration and management of the cloud environment including AWS. 

  • Must be able to obtain certification as a Technical Expert by the German Government under the Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) process

  • A current active in-scope Secret clearance 

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification

  • Travel: 25 %

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen 

Preferred Qualifications


  • Graduate of a spectrum management course such as, the Army's Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager SLC, Interservice Radio Frequency Management School, or Spectrum Operations Apprentice Course or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated experience with US military frequency management.

  • Must understand all aspects of Radio Frequency (RF) systems including UHF, VHF, HF, and EHF.

  • Experience supporting EUCOM/AFRICOM

  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required

  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
