SOSi is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator to support its Base Mission Support and Human Support Services business units. This individual will have experience in managing contracts of all types at the Federal level and will apply business acumen and regulatory knowledge to proposal development, contracts negotiation, and contracts management. This position reports to a Senior Contracts Manager and is based in Reston, Virginia.


  • Ensures business development and program staff operate in compliance with contractual terms, including overarching regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Service Contract Labor Standards (SCLS), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • Assesses risk for business development and operational actions and advises teams on risk tolerance and mitigation strategies.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact to Government and prime contractor buyers.
  • Negotiates terms and conditions for non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, subcontract agreements where SOSi is a potential subcontractor, or in instances where SOSi is a prime contractor, negotiates prime contracts and associated contract actions.
  • Assists in screening and identifying organizational conflicts of interest (OCI) and develops avoidance and/or mitigation strategies associated with actual or potential OCIs.


  • A minimum of six (6) years of contract administration experience with time and materials, firm-fixed-price, and cost-reimbursable contracts.
  • Detailed knowledge of procurement regulations, i.e., the FAR and associated agency supplements.
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite of productivity applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and with Microsoft Teams/SharePoint.
  • Excellent critical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clerance.
  • An understanding of procurements through government-wide acquisition contracts (GWAC), including, but not limited to, General Services Administration (GSA) multiple award schedules.
  • Experience with ITAR, the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics) and enterprise resource planning software (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Unanet GovCon).
  • Experience with contracts in international locations and contracts with foreign governments.
  • Experience with commercial contracts and commercial item procurements under federal procurement regulations.
  • Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.
