SOSi is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our team in El Paso, TX. The Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for the planning and coordination of special projects, initiatives and supporting tasks related to program-wide activities and priorities as assigned by the Manager.
The Business Analyst serves as a liaison between customers and the SOSi development team working directly with the stakeholders providing expert business process analysis and advice to stakeholders. Defines requirements and translates them into the creation of epics, user stories with acceptance and testing criteria and works with the Architect to ensure the solution is technically feasible, identifying areas to reduce implementation efforts and help configure the solution. Interfaces with clients and stakeholders to report on the progress of the development while supporting training, testing and change management activities.
Responsible for overall coordination with the service and process owners and technology teams to ensure the SOSi platform features are properly defined, documented, planned, executed, and verified to ensure procedures are in place and meet the business needs and align with the organization’s mission. Has a key role in ensuring projects (change initiatives) meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing adoption and usage. Focuses on the people side of IT Service Management, coordinating business processes need, gathering business requirements to liaison requirements with the SOSi technical team.
Successful candidate will be an experienced BA practitioner that has provided consulting, research, analysis and support activities in an operational environment, is able to develop strong working relationships with a diverse set of customers, and can effectively engage program stakeholders to create commitment, ownership and momentum for sustained change. Success will require the ability to facilitate end users, middle managers and executives through the defined changes, stand up new or mature existing governance processes and project teams, design and implement organizational models, re-engineer and operationalize new business processes and technology. Must be able to quickly learn and integrate new concepts with past experience and apply both to address customer needs. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected and the individual will rely on self-directed learning, experience, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
