SOSi is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team supporting emergency shelter operations in El Paso, Texas. Operations will provide temporary residential shelter care and other related services to migrant families, including housing, childcare, medical and mental health services, case management, legal services, recreation, religious services, and food services. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting similar Shelter Operations.

• Design, implement and manage online, live data visual representations of key business processes from large-scale, cross-agency data sets
• Translate large data sets and metrics into charts, graphs and other decision-based workflow and tools
• Design a visual representation of data that makes it easier to identify and share real-time trends, outliers, and new insights about the information represented in the data.
• Apply statistics, machine learning and analytic approaches to answer key intelligence questions, producing results and re-usable products.
• Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers, analysts and other stakeholders and shall provide information regarding dataset applicability to the stakeholder’s mission.

• Bachelor of Science in data, engineering or other technical disciplines
• Minimum of two years’ experience in data visualization technology implementation and decision-based dashboarding development
• Experience with enterprise visualization tools, e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Salesforce
• Experience with Virtualization/containerization (e.g. Docker, VMware, XenServer)
• Experience with Distributed systems (e.g. concurrent processes and managing shared state)
• Experience building and interacting with RESTful APIs
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement suitability determination for holding a Public Trust position.
• Ability to obtain/maintain pre-employment medical clearance.
• Ability to act responsibly, professionally, and use good judgment under pressure required.
• Ability to multitask in fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and staff management skills.
• Strong communication skills in both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Bi-lingual fluency in Spanish and English is preferred.
• Prior Shelter experience working with Migrant families and/or children.

• Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and pressure.
• Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
