SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking an experienced Senior Architect/Engineering Lead to join our team in Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Honolulu, Hawaii. The Mission Partner Environment – Engineering Services (MPE-ES) team based out of Honolulu, Hawaii creates, manages, and supports IT solutions for USINDOPACOM, its mission and its 5,000+ customers throughout the Pacific theater. Our team solves challenging technical problems that enable USINDOPACOM to realize critical and time sensitive C2 strategies.

Represents the MPE-ES IT Engineering Section. Provides planning and oversight to IT (Systems and Networks) Architecture and Engineering within the MPE-ES Area-of-Responsibility (AOR). Directs a team of MPE-ES systems and network engineers. Ensure IT projects/initiatives are properly planned (defined, prioritized, resourced), executed, documented, and supported. Coordinates and oversees MPE-ES IT architecture/engineering efforts with Systems Operations, Network Operations, and the Enterprise Service Desk (ESD). Functions as the Operations Person-In-Charge when both the MPE-ES Operations Chief and the Operations Deputy are unavailable or away. 

• Conducts MPE-ES IT engineering: assessment, analysis, and solution development to include List of Materials (LOM), proposals and related supporting documents (e.g., solution diagrams, implementation timelines, etc.)
• Coordinates internal and external resources relevant to IT engineering initiatives. Manages tasks and responsibilities to Engineering team, including engagements with internal and external parties (e.g., OEM, Vendors) where applicable.
• Acts as a point of incident escalation and coverage. Manages proper communication, correction, and response.
• Evaluates new services, technologies, software, tools, and devices that may improve MPE-ES abilities to proactively monitor performance and remediate concerns.
• Performs supervisory and administrative oversight of managed personnel. Provides recruiting, on boarding, direction/guidance, training, and assessment of MPE-ES engineers, administrators, and technicians.
• Assess current work processes and propose recommendations that would improve MPE-ES work efficiencies.
• Assists with and validates SOPs and TTPs associated with current knowledge of relevant technologies. Regularly collects and summarizes pertinent MPE-ES IT engineering accomplishments, issues, and concerns.
• Acknowledges, categorizes, and validates Request for Information (RFI’s) for MPE-ES management and Government customer(s) as they pertain to MPE-ES IT engineering responsibilities.
• Participates in and provides feedback to IT-relevant special projects.
• Ensures compliance of custody and ownership of Government equipment and related components.

• Active in-scope SECRET clearance.
• Prior supervisory experience. Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP)
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT service center operations including 5+ years in analysis, design, and delivery of complex multi-classification IT infrastructures.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in IT solutions implementation, administration, troubleshooting and support.
• Extended knowledge of modern operating systems (e.g., MS Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and associated secure-access configurations.
• Expert in delivery and support to classified VDI/virtual environment platforms (e.g., Citrix, VMware, Azure Cloud/Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV) including thin-clients and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI).
• Expert in IT security mechanics (e.g., Zero-trust, authentication protocols: MFA/hardware tokens, AD/ADFS, certificates and encryption, auditing, and logging) including cross-domain solutions (e.g., Forcepoint HSG).
• Advanced understanding and delivery on storage components (e.g., NAS/SAN storage), data availability (e.g., high availability/clustering, MS DFS-R) and archiving.
• Familiarity with installation and support to Microsoft back-end services (e.g., SQL Server, Exchange Server, SharePoint)
• Familiar with NSA CSfC and TTC/TTC-R.
• Extended knowledge of networking (switching and routing protocols, installation, and configuration)
• Prior experience using Cisco, Brocade, HPE/Aruba and Palo Alto network solutions.
• Experienced with implementing/supporting network-related services including DNS, DHCP and Unified Communications (UC) (e.g., Cisco VoIP, Call Manager, dVTC).
• Able to support 24/7 operations (including support to exercises), when necessary.
• Able to follow instructions and work both independently and in a (distributed) team environment.

• DoD 8570 IAT-III compliant (CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GSLC)
• Relevant IT Certification (e.g., Cisco, Citrix, Dell, HP, ITIL, Microsoft, Nutanix, Palo Alto, VMware)
• Well-versed in Department of Defense (DoD) protocols, procedures, and regulations.
• Familiarity with C2 applications and program support.
• Prior Help Desk/software experience (e.g., Jira, Remedy, ServiceNow).
• Awareness or experience in ITIL framework and ITIL best practices.
• Fluency in a foreign language is desirable, but not required.
