SOSi is seeking a System Security Analyst to join our team supporting a government customer in Fairfax, Virginia. The ideal candidate will design, test, and implement state of the art secure operating systems, networks and database products.

• Conduct risk assessment and provide recommendations for application design.
• Be involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access
• Use encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies and information technology research.
• Prepare security reports to regulatory agencies.
• Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned.
• Use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks.
• General knowledge of other related disciplines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related discipline (OR equivalent years of relevant experience, e.g. Associate's degree equals 2 years of experience; Bachelor's degree equals 4 years of experience; etc)
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience performing Network and system security.
• This position requires an in-scope Secret security clearance.

• Experience related to the defense of information system and networks
• Experience in monitoring intrusion detection and security information management systems to detect malicious activity.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related discipline
• Industry standard technical certifications.
