Overview

SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join our team and support our government customer in Washington DC.

 

**This position is contingent upon contract award**

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and conducts simulations against hard targets, missiles, and other intelligence gaps and supports wargaming exercises in a simulated environment.
  • Conducts M&S architecture definition, implementation, validation, and testing. Interacts with users to define and optimize new M&S functionality for applications.
  • Develops and visualizes operational concepts, performs M&S and data analysis to refine, demonstrate, and assess these concepts.

Qualifications

  • Top Secret Clearance, SCI eligible with Counterintelligence Polygraph
  • Desired Experience: 8-12 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to this position with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Desired Education: Mid-Level - Bachelor’s degree in an area related to this position from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Senior-Level - Master’s degree in an area related to the position; or have Bachelor’s degree related to the position and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 17 years, as a substitute to the Master’s degree.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
  • Experience with working with teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems.
  • Knowledgeable of and ability to apply Intelligence Community (IC) and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
  • Experience with producing timely, logical, and concise analytic reports, documents, assessments, studies, and briefing materials in formats including Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), electronic / soft copy matrices and / or web-enabled formats.
  • Ability to communicate issues clearly in a concise and organized manner both verbally and non-verbally; with strong grammar skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Defense Intelligence Agency background with more than 5 years experience in the required field of practice
  • A M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 5 or more years in an engineering discipline such as modeling and simulation, aerodynamics, flight dynamics, navigation, guidance, and control, propulsion or missile test and evaluation
  • Have experience programming in Simulink and/or C/C++
  • Have design experience with missiles and related subsystems

Working Conditions

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment
  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
  • This position may require travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations
