Overview

SOS International LLC (SOSi), is seeking a Mid-Level Software License Manager in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will possess experience in applying common best practices to Software License agreements and document business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze software license information and policies.
  • Evaluate current software and license management processes and recommend improvements.
  • Document the detailed steps needed to reach the agency’s goal of software compliancy.
  • Investigate desktop COTS and server products and update information in ServiceNow or in other tools as approved by the government.
  • Identify any unused software license and coordinate the software removal.
  • Manage and coordinate software products through a lifecycle process. Confirm license information with the software vendor.
  • Configure, customize, and implement COTS solutions to meet the government specific needs and workflows.
  • Use cataloging and discovery tools (such as Technopedia and BigFix) to gather information on software products.
  • Provide expertise to help define the direction and strategy for an engagement while ensuring the organizational needs are being addressed. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or related filed
  • 5 years professional experience
  • 3 years in technology experience
  • Software License Management experience
  • Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP desired
  • ServiceNow Hardware/Software License Managmenet experiance desired
  • SAM certification preferred (e.g. IAITAM Certified Software Asset Manager)

Working Conditions

  • Remote work.
  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable).
